Hermann-Grima + Gallier Historic Houses offers a wide variety of programs and events for visitors of all ages including our monthly lecture series, Gallier Gatherings, Summer and Holiday camps for youth, 19th-century cooking demonstrations in our open-hearth kitchen, and several seasonal exhibitions throughout each year.
Kids and Families
Engage in diverse and immersive programming that connects the past to the present. Historic cooking demonstrations, specialty tours, workshops, camps, and community events are family-friendly to include audiences of all ages.
Our exceptional adult programming creates both a social and educational atmosphere for the community through evening lectures, art workshops, and unique collaborations. Thanks to our Houses’ rich history, we offer events that address multiple disciplines, cultures, and interests.
With four Seasonal Exhibitions each year, including Summer Dress and Christmas Dress, at Gallier Historic House, and Mourning Dress and New year’s Dress, at Hermann-Grima Historic House, there is always something new to see at each of our historic houses. At Gallier Historic House we rotate four exhibitions annually, in the Gallier house Shop, which are free and open to the public.
