Historic Houses Society
The Historic Houses Society, the annual fund appeal of the Hermann-Grima/Gallier Historic Houses, provides for the most basic needs of the institution and supplies funds to maintain museum facilities, execute programming, and sustain our exemplary staff. Since the amount we charge for tours and programs covers only a fraction of our costs, donations to the annual fund make up the difference, allowing our exciting educational programs to continue and thrive. This year’s chairs of the Historic Houses Society (HHS), Susan Gundlach, Mary Johnson, and Susu Stall, are working hard to ensure that HHS 2012 will be one of the most successful ever!
This annual fund drive is the premier fundraising effort for the Hermann-Grima/Gallier Historic Houses. The support generated by the Historic Houses Society is instrumental to the continued development and implementation of our acclaimed educational programs, as well as the on-going preservation of our two national historic landmarks.
Leadership Circle of the Historic Houses Society
The conclusion of this impressive fundraising effort is marked by the highly-anticipated Fall Evening Gala, honoring the Leadership Circle of the Historic Houses Society (donors of $1,000 and up). This year’s Gala will be held at seven o’clock on Wednesday, November 14th, at the beautiful Garden District home of Sara Ruffin and Paul Costello. The wine will flow, courtesy of Trinchero Family Estates, and the food will be thoroughly enjoyed as the Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group makes a much-anticipated return engagement.
We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to participate in the 2012 Historic Houses Society fund drive. By donating to the annual fund drive you will make a major impact on the future of the Hermann-Grima/Gallier Historic Houses.
Your gift to the Historic Houses Society will make a significant difference to thousands of school children from the metropolitan New Orleans area and beyond and to the many adults and families that visit our properties each year. We thank you in advance for your generosity and remind you that all donations to the Historic Houses Society are fully (100%) tax deductible.
