Children's Spring Break Workshop

Time Travelers: A Look at
New Orleans Through Time Summer Camp

The summer camp includes activities involving the archaeology, architecture, and art of historic New Orleans.  With a focus on past lifestyles, the art activities center on leisure occupations with which people in 19th-century New Orleans entertained themselves.  Campers also discover the architectural richness of historic New Orleans, appreciating how much and yet how little New Orleans has changed over time.  Participants see how archaeology and historical research can enrich a museum and help educate the public.  The program includes a tour of the Hermann-Grima House and Gallier House, as well as tours of other historic sites in the French Quarter.  Ages 9 to 12.  For more information or to register for this program, please Contact Us at (504) 525-5661.

Beyond the Dig
Children's Archaeology Program

A Victorian Christmas Children's Ornament Workshop
