Open Hearth Cooking Workshops
This is an adults-only opportunity to learn how to prepare a meal in Hermann-Grima House's 1830s kitchen. Students will participate in every aspect of preparing an authentic 19th-century Creole meal, which will be eaten on the back gallery of the historic house. Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. BYOB. A tour of the Hermann-Grima House is included with this program. This class is offered four times a year – usually the second Thursdays of November, January, March, and May –from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Those interested in cooking classes for private groups may contact the Education Department.
