Every Thursday, October through May, volunteers cook in our historic open-hearth using the tools, techniques, and recipes of the New Orleans in the 1800s. Using meticulously researched recipes and techniques, volunteers afford visitors with the opportunity to step back in time as they experience the sights, sounds, and smells, of a state-of-the-art 19th-century kitchen.
