YARN AND FABRIC ARTS
Fees: $15 per Girl Scout and non-essential chaperone.
In the past, all clothes were handmade as opposed to buying them from the store. Many girls would learn ways to embellish their homes and their wardrobes with needlework, knitting, and weaving. Not only were these useful skills but a pastime that can still be enjoyed today.
This badge program gives the troop an opportunity to learn about textiles, including how they are made and how the need for many of these talents has changed over time.
