The Hermann-Grima House is a venue like no other in the city. It provides an extensive courtyard with views of the city skyline; blending the old with the new. While enjoying an event at the Hermann-Grima House, you and your guests will have the opportunity to experience 19th -century grandeur, and explore how the Hermann’s and the Grima’s lived in wealth and style. You and your guests will enter through the front door of the home, and throughout the event explore the extensive property.
Built in 1831 by Samuel Hermann, a wealthy commodities broker, and later purchased by Felix Grima, a wealthy and prominent judge and lawyer, the Hermann-Grima House property includes a large Federalist style home, dependency buildings, and the only surviving carriage house and stables in the French Quarter.
Take in the beauty of the courtyard of the Hermann-Grima House, complete with French styled 19th -century plantings, the courtyard provides an intimate escape from all the hustle and bustle of the city.
When developing a menu with the city’s top caterers, you and your guests will taste the history of this great city, New Orleans, with every bite.
